Vehicle Relocation Services has always used Volvo and Freightliner Power Units so when it came to deciding on new equipment there was no question. In March of 2002 Vehicle Relocation Services purchased a Volvo 420 with "Auto Haul Specs" This included having the body and suspension lowered 5" and the roof being chopped 5" by Fontaine in North Carolina. The Power Unit was then shipped to Boydstun Metal Works in Portland, Oregon where it underwent an 8 week conversion job turning it into a state of the art 10 unit Stinger Car Hauler. In January 2005 we purchased a new Freightliner power unit with the same specs, and also with the same Boydstun setup. These setups have every available option to make hauling your vehicle safe and efficient. When a customer wonders why vehicle shipments cost what they do, they need to realize that a typical 10 unit Stinger Car Hauler costs between $195,000.00 and $225,000.00 and may only last 5 Years. |
